Fast, friendly IT support for small and medium businesses across Minneapolis, St. Paul and the suburbs. Remote in minutes, on-site when it matters, hourly or at a flat monthly rate.

Three Ways to Get IT Support From OAC

Every business needs someone to call when a computer, a login or a printer stops working. How you pay for that is up to you.

Call when something breaks and pay for the time it takes. A good fit for very small offices, or for businesses with an internal IT person who occasionally needs backup.

Managed Services (Flat Rate)

Unlimited help desk support during business hours plus proactive monitoring, patching and maintenance, for a flat monthly rate per device. Most of our clients are here.

Why Businesses Choose OAC for IT Support

We repair and prevent costly IT problems so that you can focus on running your business.

Cost Effective

Keeping a staff of technical support professionals on payroll, with skills diverse enough for every request, is expensive. Outsourcing IT support to OAC costs a fraction of that, and you get a whole team.

Experience since 2000 icon

Experience

From computers and servers to networking, phones, door locks and security cameras, our technicians have supported it since 2000. Your business is in experienced hands.

What Our IT Support Covers

Help desk for your people: passwords, email, printers, software questions and the “it was working yesterday” problems that eat an hour if nobody answers. Desktop and laptop support: installation, integration, repair and replacement for Windows, Mac and Linux machines, and stronger control over the company’s fleet. Servers and network: server support, firewalls, wireless and switching, and the remote access your staff rely on. Microsoft 365: licenses, mailboxes, Teams and SharePoint, with multi-factor authentication on every account. Phones and mobile devices, new-hire setup and departing-employee lockout, and the calls to your internet, phone and software vendors so you do not have to make them.

If a computer simply cannot be fixed, we help you choose and buy the right replacement and integrate it into your network the same day it arrives.

Remote Support First, On-Site When It Matters

Most problems are fixed over a secure remote connection. A technician connects to the affected machine, sees what you see, and works the problem directly instead of talking you through it over the phone. Malware removal, software installs, updates, server work and even procedures that need a reboot are handled this way, and you do not wait for someone to drive over.

For the things that need hands, a failed switch, a new workstation, a network build-out, a server that has to be racked, we come to you. We are based in New Hope and cover Minneapolis, St. Paul and the surrounding suburbs on-site, including Bloomington, Edina, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, Plymouth, Maple Grove, Brooklyn Park, Golden Valley, St. Louis Park, Roseville and Woodbury. Clients outside the metro are supported remotely, wherever they are.

Business Computer and Laptop Repair

Nobody likes it when a computer breaks, and nobody likes being talked down to by the person fixing it. Our technicians handle hardware and software repairs on business desktops and laptops: failed drives, dead motherboards and liquid damage, cracked screens, worn batteries, machines that have slowed to a crawl, and the virus and malware infections that cripple a workstation and can leak your data. When a repair would cost more than the machine is worth, we say so, and help you replace it instead.

Regular servicing catches most of this before it becomes a failure, which is why repair is included in our flat-rate plans rather than sold as an emergency. And when a drive has already failed, our data recovery service has recovered data from thousands of failed systems.

What Happens When You Call

You reach a technician, not a phone tree, and not a ticket portal you have to log into first. Critical issues, an office down, a server offline, a suspected breach, go to the front of the line. Everything else is worked in order and documented, so the next person who touches your systems knows what was done.

Managed services clients get a dedicated technician who knows their business and their people by first name. Hourly clients get the next available technician from the same team. Either way, if you have been passed around like a hot potato by a previous provider, you will notice the difference on the first call.

Hourly, Flat-Rate or Co-Managed: What IT Support Costs

Illustration of three tiles: a clock for hourly support, a calendar for flat rate and two people for co-managed

Hourly support is quoted per hour and billed for the time used, with no monthly commitment. It is the right choice for a five-person office that calls twice a year. Flat-rate managed services price by device, with one monthly rate for each desktop, laptop, server and printer, and unlimited business-hours help desk included. For most offices with more than a handful of computers it costs less over a year than hourly work, because it prevents the problems hourly work is billed to fix. Co-managed plans cover fewer services and cost less, because your own IT staff handle part of the work.

Serving Minneapolis, St. Paul and the Suburbs Since 2000

OAC Technology has provided IT support to Twin Cities businesses since May of 2000, from our office at 9220 Bass Lake Road, Suite 235, New Hope, MN 55428. We are audited every year under SOC 2, which governs how we handle the access you give us, and with very few exceptions the clients we started with are still clients. 90% of our business comes through their referrals.

Common Questions About IT Support

Do you support Macs and Linux, or only Windows?

All three. Most of our clients run Windows with a few Macs; the remote support tool covers all three.

Do you have to come on-site, or can everything be done remotely?

Most issues are resolved remotely in minutes. Hardware, cabling and new installations are done on-site across the Twin Cities metro.

Can we call for one-off help without a contract?

Yes. Hourly break/fix support has no monthly commitment. Many hourly clients move to a flat-rate plan once they see how much they were calling.

What about after hours?

Coverage windows are set in your agreement. After-hours and weekend arrangements are common for businesses that run outside office hours.

We have an IT person already. Can you work with them?

That is what co-managed IT is for: they keep the relationship and the strategy, we add help desk depth, tools and coverage.

How do we get started?

Call 952-548-5558 or use the contact form. The first conversation is free, and it usually ends with a clear recommendation on which of the three options fits.

Many small- and medium-sized business owners are overwhelmed by the advancement of newly developing technology. Although this technology has significantly improved the way businesses communicate, not all of us have time to keep ourselves up-to-date on the latest equipment. In fact, by not keeping in touch with modern tech devices, organizations and companies risk losing clients. For this reason, it is worthwhile to employ the help of a reputable IT company. Our technical support professionals can add value to your company.

For an organization that requires technical support, it is typically less expensive to use a separate company than to hire a team of full-time employees. In addition, IT outsourcing allows the organization’s staff to concentrate on the tasks they were originally hired to perform, improving productivity.

Technology is constantly transforming, so installing new devices and equipment has become essential. Doing so, however, can leave you confused and inundated. Keeping track of what software/updates to install and knowing whether they will be compatible with your existing technology can be perplexing. But don’t worry, our IT support team is here to clear things up. If your system fails or requires an update, contact OAC Technology. With our customized IT managed support, we repair and prevent costly IT problems so that you can focus on managing your business.

OAC Technology’s IT IT support services in Minnesota will help keep your business and network operating consistently with minimal interruptions. When you work with us, you can improve your business-to-client communication and increase customer or user satisfaction. By choosing to use our professional IT support service, your IT infrastructure will be safer and more efficient.
